Multi-threading
Multi-threading is the practice of building several working relationships between your team and the customer's organization, so the partnership stands on many connections instead of one. A multi-threaded account survives a champion's exit, a rep's promotion, or a reorganization on either side, because the trust and the working knowledge live across a group of people rather than in a single pairing.
Why it matters
Multi-threading turns relationship strength from a personal asset into a company asset. It is one of the fastest ways to reduce key-person dependence in a major account.
